The Fourth of July has always been one of my most favorite holidays. Nothing beats spending time with family + friends at a good ol’ fashioned cookout. The fellowship the 4th brings has created some of my best memories growing up.
My favorite part about the Fourth of July (besides the food because duh) is the outfits of course. After asking you guys on Instagram what you wanted to see next on All for She, here are some fun Fourth outfits to get inspired by! I’ve created five looks that would be perfect to celebrate America in– from a backyard BBQ to the lake house!
Denim Shorts – One Teaspoon ($125) | Babes Unite Tee – AMO ($119) | Bandana – Vanessa Mooney ($35) | Sandals – ZARA ($60) | Bag – Free People ($138) | Earrings – Five and Two ($44) | Sunglasses – Quay ($50)
Recreate it: Head to your local Goodwill, find a pair of vintage jeans you love, and cut them to fit your style. Grab any black + white tee from your closet. If it’s oversized, tuck it in or tie a cool knot in the front. And Walmart + Hobby Lobby always have cute bandanas at a low price!
Dress – ZARA ($36) | Earrings – MISA Los Angeles ($96) | Shoes – Jeffrey Campbell + Free People ($120) | Sunnies – Komono ($70) | Scrunchie – Topshop ($8) | Belt – B Low the Belt ($75) | Bag – Zara (sold out) Shop similar here.
Recreate it: Don’t have a chambray dress? Rock your best Canadian tux with a little denim on denim action. Grab a denim button down or denim jacket + your fave denim shorts.
Recreate it: Any button-up will do! For a funkier look, only button the shirt halfway down from the top then tie a knot with the open flaps. Solid color tennies or sneakers in any style can do the job.
Recreate it: Rock your fave swimsuit– from a bikini to a one piece! Whatever makes you feel your very best. An oversized white button-down works well too. Borrow one from the boys!
Top – Free People ($30) | Shorties – Wildfox ($88) | Shoes – Teva ($100) | Shoes – Teva ($100) | Sunglasses – Quay ($50) | Bag – Zara ($36) | Bun Cuff – Chloe + Isabel ($45) | Bracelet – Shashi ($53) | Jacket – Topshop ($90)
Recreate it: ANY basic white tank or tee will work! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: finding a vintage denim jacket is the best way to go– head over to your fave secondhand store or local Goodwill to score one!
Each outfit idea has a denim element because most of us have great denim (that fits us really well) in our wardrobes. The best thing about these outfits is they can be recreated with items from your closet. Have fun mixing + matching to create your own personal look with your own personal style! I myself like items that don’t scream red, white, + blue. I tend to lean towards neutrals with touches of maroon and navy. You want to get a lot of wear out of any item you buy, so stick to clothing + accessories you know you can wear more than once a year.
Here’s to a safe + happy 4th!
Have fun out there ya little firecracker.
BIG thanks to those that helped with this shoot!
